Peyton Marinelli, Staff Writer

The Mandalorian, a Disney+ show set in the Star Wars universe, is back for a second season.

The series takes place five years after the events of the film Return of The Jedi. It features a nomadic warrior who makes an unexpected addition to his crew. This addition, The Child, uses telekinetic abilities to protect the Mandalorian on their missions together.

Many fans of the show have speculated the appearances of the Star Wars franchise’s characters in the show’s new episodes. Watchers are also curious as to how the events in the show will tie in with the events of the previously released Star Wars movies and TV shows.

It succeeds the TV shows Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels as the only show that is not animated. The series uses animatronics and CGI to achieve its quality.

The Chicago Sun Times has called the series a “visually stunning, consistently entertaining… Western serial.” It has scored a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes’  Tomatometer.

Anybody interested in Star Wars, science fiction, action, or adventure will enjoy this show.
