MGMT aka “The Management” is back with their new album “Little Dark Age”. Known for such hits like “Kids”, “Electric Feel” and “Time To Pretend” MGMT was formed by college roommates, Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser at Wesleyan University in 2002. Since then, this indie pop band has changed the new wave and indie genre forever. Their new album “Little Dark Age” gave a very 80s synth type vibe, especially with songs like “Me and Michael”, “She works out too much” and “Days that got away”. My personal favorite “When you die” reminds me of The Beatles in their late 60s phase mixed with Mac Demarco, another big influence on the Indie genre, with a dash of The Cure. This is a big accomplishment for the band and a good comeback after a few-year hiatus. Personally I think this is by far MGMT’s best album to date, and I can’t wait for more of their content.
