During quarantine, eating the same thing every day can get quite boring, so here are some alternatives snack ideas.
Not only can eating potato chips and junk food every day get old, it is not too healthy in the long run, either. There are much better alternatives that will satisfy a person’s hunger for a while, and still taste great. Try some of these for a change:
* Apples and peanut butter: slice up an apple and put on a plate with a scoop of peanut butter for a healthy snack that will provide an energy boost as well.
* Veggies and dip: chop up some celery, carrots, bell peppers and buy (or make) a bowl of hummus. Made from chickpeas, hummus tastes good, while delivering a lot of protein at the same time.
Sometimes healthy snacks aren’t the best tasting thing, and eating some junk food every once in a while is not a bad thing. An example of this would be a soft pretzel with some melted cheese on the side. This is already a very popular snack outside of quarantine, and will keep that hunger satisfied until the next meal.
Another way to change up the snack routine is to make your own homemade snacks. For example, cookie dough protein bites. These are not only relatively healthy, but also taste great and contain plenty of protein. Not only does this provide something to do, but it ends in a wonderfully tasting snack.
