A new juice and smoothie bar is now open in Carefree called The Healthy Drink. The bar started building in March and had their Grand Opening in April. The bar serves an assortment of shakes, teas, smoothies, and power bowls.
“They bring everything sealed and shut with gloves and a mask on,” said Paige Waters, a sophomore.
The new bar, opening in the middle of a pandemic, still follows all quarantine orders and protects both their customers and employees from the coronavirus. They use safety when delivering the food. Customers can order through a text on their website or do a curbside order and they’ll bring the food out to them. Customers are currently not allowed inside the bar for safety.
“I like The Healthy Creek because they have amazing protein shakes and they’re very healthy there,” said Claire Lawrence, a freshman.
The Healthy Creek was designed to be a bar to take a pit stop after a long workout or even to get a nice-refreshing tea. Many customers have grown a liking for their protein shakes and the variety of teas that they offer.
“It genuinely is so good and their protein shakes and teas are amazing,” said Waters.
The bar has created a very unique menu, they allowed their customers to create their own shakes with their own flavors and have three types of shakes\; meal replacement shakes, rebuild and recover shakes, and Gainz shakes. Otherwise, the teas have multiple flavors consisting of Chai, Arizona Sunset, and Prickly Pear Hibiscus.
